Givens Gerber Park COVID-19 update

Published on March 18, 2020

We know that you are receiving constantly changing information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and while we don’t want to add to your anxiety, there are now confirmed cases of the virus in Buncombe and surrounding counties and we must respond to the heightened need for precautions. With schools closed and people staying home from work, there is a likelihood that people will want to visit more often. Givens serves the population most vulnerable to the virus and the safety of our residents and staff is extremely important.

Effective immediately, all the entrance doors will be locked at all times with card access only. Visitors should be limited to only those absolutely necessary and should be accompanied by the resident they are here to see. No visitor should enter if they have a fever, cough, sore throat, if they have recently traveled out of the country, or otherwise potentially been exposed to the virus.

Although the offices are closed, you may always call and leave a message and we will respond as soon as possible. We know these are tough measures, but you are great community members and we know that you will pull together with us to make a difference.
